This Shelby American continuation Cobra, CSX8039, was completed with special attention to period authenticity by Shelby Parts and Restoration in Green Bay, WI.

The silver with red interior is a striking color combo that looks as timeless today as it did in 1965.

The fully restored and rebuilt 1963-dated 5-bolt HiPo 289ci engine came from an original CSX2000 Cobra that was converted into a race car many years ago.

The engine includes an all-original small-letter Cobra intake manifold with HiPo carburetor, early valve covers with Stellings and Hellings polished breathers, Cobra Powered by Ford "roadster" pan, Cobra 5-bolt cast-steel scattershield, FoMoCo C3 dual point and original 3-hump chrome high-performance air cleaner.

The 4-speed BorgWarner T10L is all new aluminum T10 case and tail with micro-polished internals and an original Ford shifter mechanism, proper handle and knob.

The Auto Meter gauges were swapped out for original-style Smiths black background gauges.
