Condition

The car is described as having areas of surface corrosion and rust bubbling on some body panels, indicating noticeable cosmetic wear. The interior presents well, but the exterior would benefit from improvement. Mechanically, the car has been recently recommissioned with around £10,000 spent, including a brake overhaul, new fuel pumps, and a major service, suggesting it's mechanically functional but requires moderate reconditioning to address the cosmetic issues.

Unveiled at the Geneva Salon in March 1999, the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage replaced its predecessor’s 3228cc supercharged straight‑six with a 5935cc, 48‑valve, all‑alloy V12 producing 420bhp and 400lb ft of torque.

Buyers could choose between a six‑speed manual, a five‑speed automatic, or later, the Touchtronic semi‑automatic transmission, and the model was offered in both Coupe and Volante (Convertible) forms.

The Volante’s top speed was limited to 165mph, yet it was still capable of reaching 60mph from rest in a reported 5.1 seconds.

Priced at £104,486 in 2002, the flagship soft‑top came generously equipped.

As Aston Martin’s first production V12 model, the DB7 Vantage remained in production into 2003, with 2,056 Volantes built in total, of which only 778 were right‑hand‑drive examples.

Offered here is a very attractive prospect that needs little vision to see the potential.

In this instance, the 5935cc V12 is mated to the 5-s...
