MG Magnette Faux cabriolet 1935 This car has been completely restored from the chassis upwards from a near wreck, restoring or replacing all items necessary, at a cost of over £50,000.

Everything has been done to be as original as possible, keeping as much of the original timber frame, but inserting new woodwork where needed.

This car is the only Faux Cabriolet that is known on a pre-war chassis, and is fitted with a period Marshall 87 side mounted supercharger, which helps to propel the car quickly to 70mph.

The interior has been restored to its original Art Deco form, with star burst door panels, Bakelite pull out ashtrays and octagonal roof light.

The original wooden dashboard and door cappings have been cleaned and revarnished.

All the instruments are working, including the fuel gauge, and the windscreen folds outwards to provide a feeling of being in an open car.
