Condition

5

The car presents well overall, but has known issues such as non-factory sills, pop-riveted boot supports, missing bumper overriders, paint blisters, and rust. The interior has non-original front seats and a faulty fuel gauge. Though mechanically sound and with a good transmission, these cosmetic and minor functional issues detract from a higher rating.

This 1967 Morris Mini Cooper is a very late Mk1 with a Mk2 Cooper engine.

The vendor states that this is a great example of a 1967 Mini Cooper in classic Blue and White, that was lovingly restored by the vendor's late father, a body repair specialist, in the 90s/00s.

The chassis number is an original MK1 67, and the engine number is a MK2 1967.

Since his passing, the car has been dry stored in a lock-up garage for the last 10+ years.

A renovation specialist has done a little work every 5 years or so to keep things ticking over and MoT roadworthy.

The bodywork is described as being generally good, but it has previously had cover sills welded on as opposed to the factory style 4.5” vented type, and these may require attention in the future.

Other points to note are that the jacking points have plates welded, the boot board supports have all been pop riveted on as opposed to factory spot welded, the bumpers are missing the overrider bars, and purists will undoubtedly take offence at...
