This is a 1947 David Brown VAK 1A Tractor, built in the year that David Brown bought Aston Martin.

It is an electric start, petrol/TVO example without power take off.

The tractor was originally bought by a golf course in Chobham for grass-cutting.

It was used by them until 1969, restored and then put on display in a tractor dealer’s showroom until the vendor, a tractor collector, purchased it 18 years ago.

The tractor is in outstanding condition, and seems to be completely standard.

It starts up straight away on the button, and everything appears to work as it should do.

A chance to buy such a rare tractor in this good a condition.
