AI Listing Summary

This Mercedes-Benz 200T estate model, part of the W123 range, is presented as a smart and economical example, having covered 140,000 miles. Recent maintenance and rust treatment enhance its appeal, though it's important to note it was a Category C insurance loss in 1999, requiring careful inspection.

Condition

The car has covered 140,000 miles, which is considered low for a Mercedes-Benz of this era. Recent work includes overhauled pneumatic suspension spheres and anti-roll bars, a new timing chain and adjuster, and Dinitrol rust treatment. The sunroof area, a known weak point, is in good condition, and the vacuum door locks and headlight adjuster function properly. However, it's noted that the car was a Category C insurance loss in 1999, and the overall condition is 'Not Verified' by Barons.

A wide choice of engines was available, from the economical 2.0-litre and 2.3-litre four cylinder units, to the impressive if rather juicy 3.0-litre sixes which offered plenty of Autobahn performance.

The range continued to sell briskly unit it was replaced by the equally fine W124 range in 1985.

This smart and economical 200T has covered 140,000 miles, which is barely run-in by Mercedes-Benz standards, maintaining excellent oil pressure an...
