It was the most luxurious of the sporting Escorts of the time.
Powered by an updated version of the 2.0-litre OHC Pinto unit, with a four into two exhaust manifolds coupled to a big bore exhaust system it produced 110bhp.
This propelled the RS2000 from 0-60mph in just 8.5 secs and onto a top speed of 110mph.
