When the estate of a lady living in the Loire was settled in the early 2000s, an anomaly was found in one of the barns on her property: the surface area inside the building did not tally with the exterior.

When the dividing wall to blame was knocked down, the Vivaquatre presented here was revealed, together with other valuables stored inside it.

This treasure trove was most likely hidden at the start of the Second World War to escape covetous glances.

The story, told by her heirs, is consistent with the exceptionally well preserved condition of the car, which had just over 16,000 km on the odometer when it was discovered.

As its factory production card confirms, the car was delivered new on 22 April 1938.
