The ultimate evolution of the Mégane RS F1 Team R26, the R26.R was considerably lighter, thanks to the removal of any unnecessary equipment and the use of ultra-light materials.

Formidably effective, it set the lap record for front-wheel drive cars at the Nürburgring with a time of 8 minutes and 17 seconds in June 2008.
This example, finished in a deep black, is numbered 76 out of the 230 UK-series cars (from a total production of 450).

It was nonetheless supplied new with left-hand drive by Renault Boulogne and first registered on 13 March 2009.

Its current owner was won over by its rarity and low mileage, as well as by the mechanical improvements made to it: the addition of a dump valve, a bigger intercooler and a modification to the air box increased its original performance.
