On 9 August 1979, a happy young student handed over the registration document for his Peugeot 104 ZS to the Renault dealer in Perpignan, in part-exchange for the magnificent Bertone coupé we are presenting, and which has remained with the same family ever since.

It is easy to understand this choice, since as well as offering first-rate performance, the GTV, which was sold new in France in September 1973, was finished in an unusual shade of green.

The order form from the time confirms the trade-in, while a substantial file of bills shows the maintenance work carried out on the car.

Among the major jobs done, the engine was completely rebuilt in 2012, and the car has covered little more than 7000 km since.
