In 1968, Michel Broual's DOG / CIJ company, based in the Loiret region of France, was commissioned by Renault to build these “mini” Alpines! The goal was to promote the French brand to young people, making them more aware of sports models that were winning races at the end of the 60s.

The specifications imposed by Renault included many parts from production models, such as R8 suspension wishbones and an R4 starter motor.

Currently fitted with a Motobécane 49.9cm3 engine, a JLO 75cm3 engine similar to the original will also be supplied with the car.

Although the legendary Renault drivers of the time, such as Beltoise, Cevert and Jabouille, had fun with these “Juniors”, the size of this Alpine A220 (scale 3/5th and 104kg) is suitable for a child, who could quite easily take part in the Little Big Mans beh...
