This carburettor-engined SM left the factory in 1972 and was imported into Sweden in 1977 by a resident of Simrishamn.

It changed hands in 1989 and in 2016 underwent a complete restoration to an unusually high standard by a Swedish SM specialist.

He succeeded in obtaining a new bare shell, which Citroën offered from stock left over after production came to an end.

With the approval of the Swedish authorities, the chassis ID 00SB5531 was transferred to the new bodyshell.

The restorer paid attention to every detail, using new old stock body parts, with the exception of the tailgate.

The body was painted in the magnificent original colour of ‘Vert des Tropiques’ (AC 525), and a sumptuous interior in tobacco-coloured leather fitted.
