First registered on 26 May 1939, this magnificent Dynamic is a type X81 fitted with a 2.8-litre valveless six known as the ‘140’, the mid-range engine.
Acquired by a resident of Monaco in 1991, the car had been tested by the magazine Auto Retro in July 1990 and then displayed at the Musée National de l’Automobile in Mulhouse in the exhibition ‘1891, Year 1 of the Automotive Industry’.
When it was bought in 1996 at an auction run by Me Poulain, it was in good running order, the steering was slightly loose and second jumping out of gear.
The body has been repainted, while the upholstery is original.
The engine isn’t seized, but should be restarted with care.
We noticed signs of collision damage to the front left, which would explain why one headlamp and grille are missing.
