According to Maserati’s records, this elegant Sebring left the factory on 17 November 1962 and was supplied new in Rome.
Finished in ‘Grigio Inglewood’, it had a red leather interior.
It showed up again in 1977, registered in the Cantal.
It was then bought by a collector from L’Haÿ-les-Roses in 1983, who had the engine rebuilt in 1987, before selling it to a Parisian enthusiast who had the body restored in 1988.
A file of invoices shows the work carried out, during which the body was taken apart and stripped to bare metal, protected and repainted.
At the same time, the mechanical components were sent to Jacques Zuliani for the gearbox to be reconditioned and the fuel injection system, which has a reputation for being unreliable, was replaced by three Weber 40 carburettors, as is often done.
