This 3500 GT was built on 12 January 1959 and delivered on 26 February that year through the Franco Cornacchia dealership in Milan to Luciano Canaves, from the Bergamo region.
Its current owner bought it at the end of 2013 from a dealer near Verona.
The dealer had taken it on consignment from the previous owner’s son and it had apparently been owned by the family for a long time.
Its current owner used the car sparingly before dealing with its faults.
In 2024, extensive mechanical work was carried out on the car, at a total cost of almost 30,000 €.
The engine, which is not the original unit but is of the correct type, was completely stripped down by the specialist Valenti Automobili in Belgium.
