The Lambda has a special place in Lancia’s history, as it was both innovative and practical, for which it was rewarded with an exceptionally long career, from 1923–1931, as well as some success in competition, including third place on the Mille Miglia in 1928.

Designed by Vincenzo Lancia, it had a unitary body, front brakes and independent front suspension with a sliding-pillar design that the company used for a long time.

The V4 engine was particularly compact and the drive shaft to the rear wheels was located in a tunnel inside the car, allowing the body to be lower.
 
The Lambda we are presenting joined the collection in the 1970s and had been in the Bordeaux area since at least 1955, as the date of its previous registration certificate shows.
