This extremely rare 2600 Zagato was supplied new by the importer SOFAR in Paris at the end of 1965 to Raymond Sauveterre, from Montpellier; it was white with a black interior.

In 1966, soon after taking delivery, Sauveterre sent the car to the most renowned engine tuner at the time, the famous workshop run by Conrero.

Copies of the bills for this work are in the car’s file and a report from a dyno test carried out by Conrero shows peak power of 221.8bhp at 6500rpm, a considerable increase on the 165bhp claimed by Alfa Romeo.

In 1983, the car was sold to its second owner, Jean-Pierre Esquirol, who lived in the Paris area; it was registered at the time as 2600 YC 95 (the previous number being 547 LW 34).

In 2007, it passed into the ownership of a M.
