To mark the end of 56 years of Rolls Royce and Bentley production in Crewe, prior to production being transferred to Goodwood in 2002, Rolls Royce created the "Final Series", a limited edition of 56 cars, of which only 45 would ever see the light of day – 35 of them left-hand drive.

It boasts a host of special features, including a special wood trim with an inlaid Spirit of Ecstasy motif, a numbered commemorative plaque on the centre console, Rolls Royce badges to the front and rear in the same red as when the brand was launched, Spirit of Ecstasy emblems on the wheel centres, and redesigned alloy wheels with a chrome finish, as well as rear-view mirrors.
The example presented here is one of these rarities and bears the number 40.
