Compared to the standard Gallardo, the Super Trofeo, destined to run in the eponymous one-make cup, was fitted with the same, slightly more powerful 5.2-litre V10 engine, lowered suspension, special brakes and, inside, a stripped-down interior suited to racing and FIA safety regulations.
This is one of these rare versions offered here: bought new by a “gentleman-driver” who used it very little, and only for track drives, it has belonged to Xavier Pompidou's company XP Developpement since 2011.
He has been a professional driver since 1992, and had a brilliant and prolific career.
