Compared to the original S1 model, the Bentley S2 and S3 models enjoyed the huge progress marked by their new 6.2-litre V8 engine, which replaced the old inline six.
Externally, the radiator of the S3 flanked by four headlamps brought a touch of modernity to the tall and imposing body.
For customers looking for a sportier model, there was the Continental, whose bodywork was produced by craftsmen in specialised workshops; as well as having a more stylish appearance, it was made from aluminium, which improved the performance of this extremely luxurious car.
The S3 was, moreover, the very last model to receive this special treatment, and the Bentleys that followed were supplied with standard bodies.
