Reprenant des éléments de trains roulants et la mécanique de la Triumph TR3, mais équipée d'un pont De Dion, elle dispose d'un châssis tu-bulaire sur lequel repose une élégante carrosserie en fibre de verre.
Ce succès retentissant en course attire les commandes, et dès 1959, une carrosserie re-dessinée (phase 2) est proposée, sans que la production ne parvienne à suivre.
Seuls 325 exemplaires seront finalement produits dont 250 en phase 1.
