L'année suivante, le moteur 4 cylindres à plat 1.5L est remplacé par une version 1.8L de 86 cv qui permet plus de 170 km/h en pointe.
Le cabriolet 1.8L à carburateur ne sera produit qu'à 385 exemplaires.
Celui que nous présentons est l'un d'eux et fut vendu neuf à un médecin de Grenoble qui l'avait immatriculé le 13 août 1965.
C'est en avril 1966 que son actuel propriétaire, confrère du premier, en a fait l'acquisition.
Un courrier de son premier possesseur précise le soin qu'il a apporté au rodage de la voiture, confirme que celle-ci n'avait parcouru que 12 500 à 13 000 km en octobre 1965 et qu'elle n'avait jamais été accidentée.
