Il fut vendu neuf au pilote Manuel Martinot, invité en septembre 1995 à Lohéac pour découvrir le modèle, il en passait immédiatement commande pour le recevoir en mars 1996.
On retrouve son témoignage dans l'excellent ouvrage " Les Automobiles Hommell " de Jean-Luc Fournier : " Je l'ai immédiatement descendue par la route pour l'engager à Nogaro, à la toute première épreuve de la Coupe Hommell.
Au volant de ma belle auto noire barrée de bandes vertes, mes couleurs traditionnelles, ce fut le début de grandes émotions ".
