En 1955, le groupe décide d'en faire une marque d'élite afin de rivaliser avec Cadillac et autres Lincoln.
Très rare, la voiture présentée est un coupé Hardtop Newport de 1955, produit seulement à 3418 exemplaires.
Selon les spécialistes de la marque il ne resterait en France qu'une berline et un autre exemplaire de 1956 au musée de la principauté de Monaco.
C'était alors le coupé américain le plus cher du marché, et dessiné par le bureau de style de Virgil Exner.
Notre voiture, d'origine américaine arrivera en France en 1991.
