Dénommée Y8, la 1500 surbaissée est équipée d'une carrosserie " tank " alors que la version semi surbaissée, exposée sur le stand Chenard-Senechal, est appelée Y7, habillée au choix d'une carrosserie torpédo Grand Sport trois places dite " Torpille " ou d'une conduite intérieure deux places en bois contreplaqué.

Le moteur était commun aux deux versions.

Il s'agissait d'un tout nouveau quatre cylindres avec culasse à turbulence Ricardo.

Les cotes sont de 69 mm d'alésage et de 100 mm de course.
