La concrétisation de cette idée passe par la réalisation d'une petite voiture populaire et, pour que les coûts de production restent raisonnables, elle doit être produite en grande série.
La conception est confiée à l'ingénieur Jules Salomon et il en résulte une voiture simple à fabriquer, à utiliser et à entretenir, un peu à la façon d'Henri Ford avec son Modèle T.
Pour autant, la 10 HP Type A ne manque pas d'une certaine élégance et, pierre angulaire du constructeur qui est en train de naître, elle est équipée d'un quatre-cylindres latéral de 1 327 cm3 développant 18 ch.
