1924 CITROËN TYPE C3 (5HP) - NO RESERVE Châssis n° 39293 - Une vraie " Trèfle " - Totalement restaurée Il n'est plus besoin de présenter celle qui deviendra la célèbre Citroën 5 HP " Trèfle " à trois places.
La première Type C est lancée au Salon de Paris 1921 sous la forme d'une petite torpédo deux places dérivée de la première Citroën, la Type A de 1919.
Elle évoluera en C2 pour 1923 (avec un châssis renforcé) et en C3 (empattement allongé) pour 1925.
Celle-ci est toujours proposée en torpédo et en cabriolet deux places, mais aussi en torpédo à trois places en trèfle.
Le succès de la C3 (30 000 unités produites en 1925 dans les trois styles) n'empêchera pas André Citroën de la supprimer en mai 1926.
Sa facilité de conduite, sa robustesse et sa longévité deviendront légendaires et certaines 5 HP circulaient encore quotidiennement plus de vingt-cinq ans après leur sortie d'usine.
