This Morris J-Type van is a stalled restoration project, ready to be taken to the next stage by a keen restorer.

A lot of care and skill has been invested in it so far, and much of the difficult work has been done – including replacing many metal sections and preparing the shell for painting – but there is plenty still to do. The chassis has been stripped, sand blasted and powder coated, and the body appears to sit on a new set of leaf springs with new brake pipes.

Many parts are inside the van, including a newly rebuilt 1.5-litre B-series engine.

However, the vendor advises that not all the van's parts are present, there are no ancillaries for the engine, and “what parts are supplied may not be for this van”.

Viewing is therefore highly recommended. The van is supplied with a few receipts from 2019-25 listing many new panels, shotblasting, and the engine rebuild by an MG specialist at a cost of nearly £2000.
