Description
1250cc, manual.
MG’s highly exclusive TD Mk
II was intended for competition use, equipped with an upgraded XPAG engine featuring larger valves, larger carburettors, twin SU fuel pumps, and sharper handling thanks to auxiliary Andrex dampers.
Finished in light blue/grey, this lovely example dates from 1953, the last year of production, and it arrived in the UK from America in 1989. According to a handwritten description by a previous owner in 2019, in a notebook which accompanies the car, during his 19-year tenure it received a body-off restoration which included the fitment of a Ford five-speed gearbox and an unleaded head conversion. In addition the notebook there is a collection of Mo
T certificates covering 2000 to 2012 (when the car was tested every year), a 2018 receipt for steering rack boots, and the V5C which indicates 3 former UK keepers. NOTICE TO BUYERS: Please be aware that all lots are sold as seen and without any warranty implied or given.
