This Ford Consul Convertible Mk
II has been rescued from many decades in storage.
It survives in remarkably original and undamaged condition, complete with matching Firestone tyres, and wears a lovely overall patina.
No attempt has been made to run the engine, so it is sold as a project, with 45,555 miles showing on the odometer. The original buff logbook has been preserved, and records the first owner as The Hon James Herwald Ramsbotham, a peer of the realm whose father had been Governor-General of Ceylon.
Other papers include a few old receipts and early insurance policy documents, original handbooks, and an old-style V5C which dates from 1984 but remains current. NOTICE TO BUYERS: Please be aware that all lots are sold as seen and without any warranty implied or given.
