This Mk1 Ford Lotus Cortina is an early pre-Aeroflow model with aluminium doors.

It is being sold as a non-running project that would require a very brave restoration.We're told the car retains its original A-frame axle which has been converted to leaf springs.

The history file contains a few old receipts, one indicating a comprehensive engine rebuild in 1973 at 80k miles. Today the odometer is showing is 17,841 miles.

It also comes with an old handbook and a few 1970s tax discs.The car is registered on the DVLA database but does not show on HPI.

Its V5C indicates that it was first registered on 1st December 1963, and there have been only 2 former keepers, the vendor having acquired the car last summer.
