This 1.6-litre red Ford Escort XR3 has had only 2 registered keepers from new and shows 41,555 miles on its odometer.

The vendor describes it as a "genuine car" that has been garaged since 1997 and reportedly still wears its original paint.

He purchased the car from the second owner, who had owned it since 1986, and it has since spent 18 months in trade storage.Paperwork includes the original handbook pack, tax discs, Haynes workshop manual, MoT certificates going back to the 1980s, and a collection of maintenance receipts.
