This white Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is an original, UK-supplied RHD example, registered on 13th January 1967 in the last year of S1 production, with chassis number 1E1686.

Universally celebrated as one of the most iconic British sports cars ever produced, this example shows 64,778 miles, a figure which the vendor believes is correct.

This is supported by old MoT certificates going back to 1976, when the mileage was recorded at 60,065.

It has been dry stored for the last 25 years and presents as a rare opportunity to either recommission or embark on a full restoration.

In the vendor's words: “On inspection it looks to have a sound tub with good sills and floors, with great door shut lines.” Invoices suggest that a full engine and rear axle rebuild were carried out in the 1990s; photographs in the history file show this in detail.
