The Subaru 284 (marketed overseas as, among other names, ‘Brat’ or ‘Brumby’) was a coupe-style pickup with 4x4 capability, based on the Leone (the Impreza's predecessor).

This late-spec, second-generation example has a manual gearbox and 1.8-litre petrol engine, and its V5C indicates 4 registered keepers since it was first registered to a buyer in Surrey on 1st March 1994.

There are 133,900 miles showing on the odometer.The vehicle does run, but due to a petrol leak we will not be driving it through the auction hall.The last MoT expired in 2014 so this vehicle is sold as an interesting project requiring restoration / recommissioning.

We're advised that it has been owned by a farm since 2021 and does drive, but is due a service.

It comes with a service book containing 20 stamps up to 111k miles in 2008, and a good collection of receipts with a printout of a maintenance record relating to its years on the road.
