The history file includes a certificate from the Vanden Plas Owners Club, indicating that VPE 804M was built in February 1974 by the Morris factory at Cowley, finished and trimmed by Vanden Plas in London with Damask Red paintwork and Navy Blue interior trim.
It was equipped from new with optional automatic seatbelts and heated rear window, and despatched to the Mann Egerton dealership in Guildford.
Although it remained iwth the same owner, it was re-registered to another company within the same group on 1st November 1998 following a change in company registered office.
