AI Listing Summary

This 1967 Fiat 1100R Familiale, believed to be the only one in the UK, has undergone a recent body refurbishment and respray. While it runs and drives, the gearbox has a known issue when cold, and the car has had several new parts fitted recently, suggesting a good but not perfect condition.

Condition

6

While described as running and driving, the listing mentions the gearbox having issues when cold, and notes wear on various components. The body refurbishment and respray are positives, but the need to avoid second gear until warm suggests mechanical reconditioning is needed. Therefore, a rating of 'Good' seems appropriate, acknowledging both the refurbishment and the mechanical issues.

This rare 1967 Fiat 1100R Familiale is believed to have originally been owned by a vineyard near Turin, but was then stored for several years before being imported into the UK in 2019.

During 2022, it was given a full body refurbishment and bare metal respray in original Fiat Pavone (Peacock) Blue costing £4800, plus a service and many new parts including a brake overhaul, carburettor overhaul, exhaust, four tyres, suspension bushes and electrics.

It is believed to be the only one in the UK, with only a handful still left in mainland Europe.

Built in September 1967, its UK registration was in April 2019 and the Fiat has had four registered keepers since then.

As an historic vehicle, the 1100R no longer requires annual MoT testing; however, it has an MoT through to May 2025.

The odometer shows 44,916 miles.

The vendor aquired it from ACA earlier this year to use and enjoy over the summer.

During that time he has driven 600 miles in it, and spent around £1200 on parts - including ...
