AI Listing Summary

This 1964 Chrysler 300K is a rare 'Letter' series two-door hardtop coupe, boasting a 413.8ci V8 engine and factory-fitted air conditioning. While it presents well with 45,745 miles and a Roman Red exterior, the car has been in long-term storage and needs a full service.

Condition

6

The car is described as being in a private collection for a number of years and would benefit from a full service before daily use, as it has been in long-term storage for some while. This suggests that while the car may be well-preserved cosmetically, it requires mechanical attention due to its storage history. Therefore, a 'Good' rating seems appropriate.

This is a rare 300K (one of the ‘Letter’ series 300s) two-door hardtop coupe, finished in Roman Red with cream interior and showing 45,745 miles on its clock.

Regularly restyled and updated throughout the 1960s, the ‘Letter’ series had arrived at the 300J by 1963, featuring all-new styling that would be carried over to the 1964 300K range.

By this time Chrysler's 'Letter' series hot-rod was powered by a 413.8ci, 6.8-litre V8 producing 390bhp.

Production ceased in 1965, the 300L being the last of this highly collectible family of high-performance coupés and convertibles.

This example was purchased by the previous owner, a collector, from Gesswein Motors of Milbank, South Dakota in April 2012 when it had covered 45,432 miles.

Notable features include factory-fitted air conditioning and power-assisted steering and brakes.

Accompanying documentation consists of a South Dakota Certificate of Title; the purchase order and a copy of Gesswein's advertisement.
