The Wolseley 6/80 ran from 1948 to 1954 and is perhaps best remembered as one of the definitive British police cars, with usage by UK constabularies continuing well into the 1960s.

This version was built in 1954, but seems to have been reregistered in November 1984.

Six former registered keepers are shown since then on the V5C.

The odometer shows 02895 miles and the last MoT expired in April 2011, after having been undertaken the year before at an indicated 57,774 miles.

As an historic vehicle, there is no need for annual testing any more.

We're told by the vendor that the Wolseley has electronic ignition, an electric fan and electric power steering conversion.

He further reports that 'everything works and the car was in regular use until recently'.

However, following our brief test drive of the 6/80, we would recommend that the brakes are given attention.

The paperwork file includes the V5C and a BMC workshop manual.

There's also a spare set of keys with the vehicle.
