AI Listing Summary

This classic Range Rover, though registered in 1981, was made between 1973-75 and originally exported to South Africa as a CKD kit. It's been recently resprayed with replaced body panels and boasts a rust-free underside, but requires servicing and has a noisy release bearing.

Condition

6

The car has had a respray, new wings, door skins, and a tailgate panel, and is described as rust-free underneath. However, it has a noisy release bearing, would benefit from a service, and hasn't been used for over a year. While it's been MoT'd with no advisories, the need for a service and the noisy bearing indicate it's not in top mechanical condition. Overall the car is in solid condition.

Although registered in 1981, this Range Rover was manufactured between 1973 and 1975 and was originally supplied as a completely knocked down[CKD] right hand drive model to export to South Africa.

Our vendor purchased the Range Rover 18 months ago with a view to restoring it and keeping it, however due to illness is reluctantly having to part with it.

It has been subject to a recent respray with both wings and door skins replaced with the correct aluminium replacements, along with a part tail gate panel.

Described as being rust free to the underside, having been undersealed from new.

The speedometer, bonnet lock cable, alternator and ignition lock have been replaced.

MoT'd in June with no advisories, the only issues our vendor is aware of is a noisy release bearing which goes once the car is warm.

The car runs fine but would benefit from a service, having not been used for well over a year.

The mileage is recorded at 29,286.

Comes with current V5, MoTs and owner's manual.
