The GT was the mainstream performance version of the Mk
I Cortina compared to the motorsport‑orientated Lotus variant.
Launched in spring 1963, GTs had lowered suspension and 78bhp 1498cc engines.
This example is fitted with a Lotus Cortina radiator, wheel rims and quarter bumpers.
The V5 indicates that a 1.6 litre engine has been fitted.
