The Rover P3 was a short‑lived car, using the basic shape of Rover's pre‑war cars but combining them with the company's new inlet‑over‑exhaust engines that would go on to power the Land Rover (in four‑cylinder form), plus the P4 and P5 models that superseded the P3.

The P3 range only ran from 1948 to 1949, with just over 9000 built.

This very attractive 75 example (with the '75' denoting power output), in two‑tone black and red and with 2103cc six‑cylinder engine, was registered in May 1948 and has three former registered keepers recorded on its V5C.

The mileage indicated on the odometer is 6357 miles.

The history file that accompanies this Rover ‑ known as Blodwyn ‑ shows that this car was restored in 2009 after being stored in pieces for some 18 years.

During the restoration process a Ford Sierra five‑speed gearbox and a P4 cylinder head and twin SU carburettors were fitted to enhance performance and fuel economy.
