This Ford Popular was purchased at ACA in August 2021 by the film company for use on the set of Grantchester 7 (due to be broadcast in 2022), and is now surplus to requirements.

The car was originally sold by the 70 year old owner, whose family had owned the car since 1966.

A covering letter is provided by the previous owner, it explains that her father and brother saw the car on the forecourt at Bryan's Garage in Abington, Cambridge for £115 and, after a test drive, bought it.

Her father passed away in 1968 when the car was passed to her even though she could not drive at the time.

She passed her driving test and drove the car around Cambridge for a few years before getting married in 1978 and moving to Upwell, near Wisbech.

They took the car on a number of occasions on the King's Lynn Vintage and Veteran Motor Club car runs.
