In the early 1990s Porsche launched the 968 model, the latest evolution in the line of 924s and 944s, the now-famous front-engined Porsches with transaxle architecture.

To boost sales and appeal to a younger audience of motorsport enthusiasts, the brand launched the Club Sport version.
The challenge was to make the 968 CS light, radical and "pure": on the scales, 100 kg of superfluous weight had already been removed, and the chassis had been properly adjusted to give a 50/50 weight distribution.

The steering is more precise, while the 240hp 3-liter engine is mated to a formidable 6-speed gearbox, the first in the manufacturer's history.
The 968 presented in these pages is a genuine Club Sport delivered in 1994 to its first owner in Monaco, via Porsche Groupe Segonds; the first registration in 06 is still visible on all the windows.
