Volkswagen Coccinelle 1303 LS Cabriolet – 1973

In 1972, Volkswagen unveiled the latest version of the Beetle, called the 1303 S.

It featured a number of significant developments and brought the Beetle into the modern era.

Noteworthy features included independent front suspension, a curved windscreen and an improved 4-cylinder engine, now with a capacity of 1.6 litres and 50 bhp
Our Beetle convertible was sold new in Paris in 1973.

It is a highend LS version that has nevertheless received special attention.


As soon as it was delivered, its owner sent the car to Pavesi, the famous Milanese coachbuilder, to customise its interior.
It was fitted with leather upholstery with Recaro seats in the front, superb wood panelling covering the dashboard, door panels, gear knob and Momo Alpina steering wheel.

Finally, electric windows and thick wool carpets were installed.
