The Citroën Traction is a legendary car that revolutionised the automotive world.

It was produced from 1934 to 1957 and went through several generations.

The 11 BL model began rolling off the production lines in 1937 in saloon, coupé and convertible versions.
It differed from the previous series in that it had a larger body, rack-and-pinion steering, an 11 hp engine, new on-board instrumentation and streamlined upholstery.
The convertible design was attributed to Jean Daninos, then a young engineer, who would later become the owner and creator of Facel Vega.

At the time, it was also imperative to reuse as many parts as possible from the saloon in order to reduce production costs.
