Citroën DS 21 M Cabriolet Chapron – 1967

Only 1,365 factory-built convertibles were built on the basis of the DS 19 and DS 21 between 1960 and 1971.

This DS 21 M
cabriolet (with mechanical gearbox) was sent from the Quai de Javel factory to the Ateliers Henri Chapron for assembly in July 1966, and was delivered on 7 October of the same year, as the Chapron documents show.
The car had a pearlescent grey paint finish and a black leather interior.

According to the brand’s archives and historians, this
was the 5th Cabriolet to be built with a mechanical gearbox, out of only 42 in this most desirable 1967 sought after millesim.
This DS cabriolet was then sold new in the South of France, apparently to the director of Casanis (a Marseilles Pastis brand)
and spent some time in Corsica.

Years later, it was sold to an enthusiast in the Nevers region, who undertook a restoration
including the removal of the platform completed...
