The BMW 2000 C/CS, produced from 1965 to 1969 by Karmann, inaugurated the line of large BMW coupes.
Powered by the 2.0 L M10 engine, it offered 100 bhp in the C version and 120 bhp with Kugelfischer fuel injection in the CS version, reaching speeds of nearly 115 mph.
Its styling, with twin rectangular headlights, was divisive, but with 13,700 units produced, it paved the way for the arrival of the legendary E9 (2800 CS, 3.0 CS, CSL.
