Aston Martin V8 Volante – 1986

French registration title

After the success of the DB4, 5 and 6, Aston Martin had to renew itself and change the now legendary lines of its flagship.

William Towns' design took on the difficult task of succeeding the Carrozzeria Touring, offering the world the DBS in 1967.

The lines were more angular, and in 1969 the main element changed considerably: the elegant 6-cylinder engine was replaced by a V8!
In 1978, the DBS, now the V8, changed its name to the V8 Volante to meet the demands of the American market.

Once again, the car was a hit, the styling was a success, and the V8 (especially when coupled with the automatic gearbox) offered a cruising drive that impressed even our friends on the other side of the Atlantic!
Our car was one of the first to be fitted with K-Jetronic fuel injection, for easier use and maintenance.

It was delivered new to Palm Beach in this elegant shade of Salisbury Blue with a light beige interior and automatic gearbox.
