According to information provided by Peugeot’s sales department, the model we are presenting is a 402 B Limousine Type N5, which left the factory on 27 October 1939 for the French Air Ministry.

Fitted with a Cotal gearbox for extra driving pleasure and comfort (an option that was prohibitively expensive at the time!), this car has a singular history as well as an
exceptional provenance, to say the least.

Purchased just after the war from the Domaines, it was specially rebodied by Etablissements Lourtioux – 10 rue des Grands Près, Montluçon – at the request of its new owner, an antiques and paintings dealer from central France.
