At the 1929 Motor Show, Delage presented the D8, an emblematic touring car which, like the Bugattis in particular, was distinguished by a superb 8-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of 4 litres and 100 hp.
At the beginning of the 1930s, the range was extended by the very exclusive and noble D8S, which was distinguished by its low-slung chassis and its engine with 120 hp.
The best coachbuilders quickly made it one of their favourite bases.
